We’ve had little teaser periods of sunshine that whetted our appetite, followed by wintery weather which had us turning the heating on and double checking our calendars. Finally though, it seems summer has now arrived and the cocktails season is underway.
But the sizzling season wouldn’t be the same without cocktails. Yes, as much of a staple as music festivals and those boys who deem it appropriate to walk around the shops with no shirt on, sitting outside and sipping a fruity beverage is what warm weather is all about.
And after a surge in new bars and restaurants joining the city’s already thriving food and drink offering in recent years, Liverpool’s residents are spoilt for choice when it comes to cocktails and mocktails.
But if you don’t fancy heading out for a drink, worry not. We’ve called on our favourite bars in the city to bring you some fantastic recipes that will allow you to whip up a show stopping beverage at home. And with National Tequila Day coming up on 24 July, there’s even more reason to get mixing!
