Award-winning Liverpool food hall and eatery, Delifonseca Dockside is preparing to celebrate its fifth anniversary.
The popular Brunswick Way food destination, which was the second Delifonseca restaurant to launch in the city, will welcome new and familiar faces to mark the special occasion next month with a culinary quiz night.
Ahead of the event Candice Fonseca, proprietor of Delifonseca, says she is already looking forward to “the next half a decade and what it has in store”, and adds: “When we first opened Fonseca’s Stanley Street in 2006, I never imagined that just under 10 years later, we’d be celebrating such a prominent birthday of our second site.
“It has certainly been an exciting five years for Delifonseca Dockside, during which we’ve won a number of awards including Bronze at Visit England 2015, Observer Food Monthly Independent Food Retailer 2014 and The Good Food Guide Reader’s Restaurant of the Year 2014.”
The ticketed 7 November celebration will be hosted by restaurant manager Tom Ford and head chef Martin Cooper, who were among a number of current team members working at the venue when it was first established, as they entertain guests with blind food and wine tasting, foodie quiz questions and a main course serving of seasonal game stew.
