New ‘executive apartments’ could be in the pipeline for Mossley Hill as four-storey development plans have been put forward.
The South Liverpool site earmarked for the project was previously the subject of approved plans to build a three-storey residential building in 2007.
A planning application has been put forward to Liverpool City Council to create nine new homes at 246 Allerton Road, complete with an associated access road, parking, rear gardens and landscaping.
A statement by Greyside Planning on behalf of the applicant says: “The design of the building has been informed by the topography of the site, its proximity to Calderstones Park and, given the broad range of architectural styles that are present in this residential area, the style of the building is bespoke. However, the materials that are proposed include sandstone, a common material found in the high quality developments around the park.”
The document adds that the proposal will “provide high quality residential units which will meet an identified need for local residents; maximise a sustainable location; provide financial investment in the site and area; deliver a variety of much needed high quality, well designed and generously proportioned housing that will help meet the need for new housing into the area; be located in a highly accessible and sustainable location; and result in no harm to the local levels of bio-diversity and habitats”.
