Plans for a striking extension to the Delifonseca Dockside food hall and eatery have been revealed.
Owner Candice Fonseca wants to create a new dining and events space at the Brunswick Way site.
According to a planning application submitted to Liverpool City Council, the proposed extension will give the restaurant the extra space it needs to further develop the restaurant and serve more customers.
The proposals also include a new covered outside dining area at the front of the building.
A document included with the planning application, prepared by DK-Architects, reads: “This extension will house a dining and events space giving the restaurant more covers that it needs in its process of expansion.
“A single storey extension and covered loading area to the north east is also proposed to house storage space and improved delivery facilities.”
Originally built as a Harry Ramsden’s restaurant, Delifonseca opened its second Liverpool operation at the Brunswick Way site in 2010 – joining Fonseca’s on Stanley Street.
