Full line-up revealed for Liverpool’s first Hope & Glory festival

The full line-up has now been announced for Liverpool’s inaugural Hope & Glory boutique festival.

Following the recent news that the 70-piece orchestra Hacienda Classical will close the 5-6 August event behind St George’s Hall, further big names have been revealed to complete the bill.

Organisers have announced that Manchester band James will headline a stage during the first night of the event, with Charlotte Church (pictured), Ocean Colour Scene, Razorlight, Public Service Broadcasting and the Lightning Seeds among a number of other big names heading to the city centre landmark.

Charlotte Church will be in conversation during the event and will also be bringing her ‘Late Night Pop Dungeon’, and organisers have confirmed that Happy Mondays stars Bez and Shaun Ryder and Tim Booth from James will join Hacienda Classical on stage.

The ticketed family festival, which aims to bring a weekend of music and art amongst Liverpool’s iconic buildings, will be held in a specially created arena in St John’s Gardens and William Brown Street.
