A restaurant specialsing in healthy food could be coming to Walton Road under new plans submitted to Liverpool City Council.
The applicants have revealed proposals to turn a former florist into an eatery called Super Kitchen.
The site in question, 15 Walton Road, was most recently a flower shop but has previously played host to other local retailers including a card store and a kitchen appliance seller.
The plans to repurpose the store as a healthy eatery include minimal alterations to the building, such as the installation of small air vents, worksurfaces and a counter.
A statement issued to the council reads: “Healthy living is becoming increasingly popular and more people are becoming concerned with their weight and lifestyle. This restaurant will cater for individuals who want to make that step by eating clean, fulfilling meals.
“The reason I believe this idea will be successful is that we wish to use a simple concept within our menu that is currently being used in other areas of the North West. The quick and easy approach will allow people to enjoy an express service to healthy food.”
Super Kitchen will seat between 15 and 25 people in store if the venture obtains planning permission.
