Irish-themed pop-up bar opening in Baltic Triangle

A new Irish-themed pop-up bar is opening in the Baltic Triangle this week.

Custom House in The Botanical Garden will serve all kinds of whiskey, Irish cream, stout and “the best Irish coffee in Liverpool”.

Created by the same team behind The Botanical Garden, inspiration for the new bar has been described as “the lower decks of the Titanic meet an old school Irish public house circa 1800s”.

Custom House will sell “rare spirits” including Green Spot, Redbreast Lustau Sherry Cask and Jameson Caskmates – a whiskey aged in stout barrels.

Paired whiskey tasting flights, Irish cheeseboards and packets of Tayto crisps will also be available as well as a “cockle-heating hot Jameson’s and ginger”.

Open from Thursday (7 December) till early 2018 in The Botanical Garden’s Botanical Greenhouse, Custom House will also feature regular live music from local artists.
