A spooky Zombie Walk will take place through Liverpool city centre this month in the name of charity.
Proceeds from the annual event will support local neurological cause, The Brain Charity.
Participants of all ages will be transformed into the undead by professional make-up artists for the 22 October fundraiser, which will start at Ghoulies Haunted House on Dale Street at 11am.
The last entry to become a zombie will be at 1.30pm, with walkers also having the option to come already dressed for the occasion.
Then at 2pm zombies will set off on the three-hour walk, which will also feature a beauty pageant for the best looking zombie and a brain eating competition with prizes for the winners.
Nanette Mellor, chief executive officer at Norton Street-based The Brain Charity, says: “This is a bit of fun for the family and promises to be a great day out. I certainly cannot wait to see Liverpool city centre overrun with zombies!
“We are so thankful for everyone that comes to take part. Money raised by this event will go towards helping people across Merseyside who are often struggling to cope. At The Brain Charity, we pride ourselves in helping absolutely everyone that comes through our doors, providing them with access to emotional support, practical help and social activities.”
Tickets for the event can be purchased on The Brain Charity website and are priced £10 for participants wanting the full ‘makeunder’, or £5 for anyone wanting to arrive for the walk already undead. Children under the age of 10 can join in for free.
Zombie walkers are advised to wear old clothes for the experience.
