Move Publishing to scale new heights with Snowdon Climb

Staff at Move Publishing, the company behind Your Move, will scale new heights in April when they take on Wales’ highest peak – all in aid of The Whitechapel Centre.

An 18-strong team from the firm is making the climb up Snowdon in support of the Liverpool-based charity, which provides vital support to the city’s rough sleepers and those on the brink of homelessness.

Move Publishing’s intrepid mountaineers will take the Llanberis Path up the 1,085-metre giant, led by Your Move magazine’s social media guru and keen rambler Matthew Smith.

Matthew says: “Snowdon is the highest mountain in Wales and England and towers over the Snowdonia National Park. It’s a challenging climb to the summit but we’ll hopefully be rewarded with some extraordinary views.

“In April the weather should be relatively favourable, but given that the mountain makes its own climate the situation can change very quickly.”

The 20 April trek will take around six hours there and back, running parallel with the Snowdon Mountain Railway on a gradual ascent from start to summit.

Kim O’Brien, director of Move Publishing, adds: “Move Publishing has set its sights high for 2018 and we were looking to find a way that the whole team could come together and take on a real challenge.

“The Whitechapel Centre is a wonderful charity that does so much good work in the city as well so it’s fantastic that we can support it through this.”
