A Swedish fashion brand with stores across the world is planning to open its first Liverpool branch.
The premium brand, which is part of the H&M group, wants to transform the space vacated by Lunya on College Lane in Liverpool ONE.
According to plans recently submitted to Liverpool City Council, COS (Collection of Style) has chosen the Catalan and Spanish restaurant’s former home for its first Liverpool store.
Lunya moved to a new 5,500 sq ft unit last October, replacing Thai eatery Busaba opposite BBC Radio Merseyside on Hanover Street.
On its website, COS describes itself as a “fashion brand for women and men who want modern, functional, considered design”.
Launched in 2007 with a catwalk show at the Royal Academy of Arts in London, COS has since branched out across the world with stores opening in New York, Milan, Paris and Madrid.
Here in the UK COS has 22 stores, including branches in Manchester, Leeds and Bristol, as well as 11 in the capital.
According to proposals, fit out of the new Liverpool store would include the removal of the staircase in the old Lunya which linked the deli and bar on the ground floor with the a dining area upstairs.
COS has been approached for comment.
