American fast food chain Taco Bell could open as many as four restaurants in Liverpool.
Your Move revealed in August that the Mexican-inspired eatery is set to launch on Bold Street.
Your Move now understands Taco Bell has further plans to expand into Liverpool with restaurants at New Mersey Shopping Park, Liverpool Shopping Park, and an as yet unnamed location in the pipeline.
Applicant Northgate Fast Food Limited was awarded planning permission in October 2017 to transform the former Bravissimo store at 8 Bold Street into a Taco Bell.
It’s now rumoured this opening has been delayed until at least January 2018.
According to the planning application submitted to Liverpool City Council earlier this year, the Bold Street Taco Bell will be spread over two floors with seating for 94 customers.
The UK was the first European country to get its own Taco Bell, when in 1986 a location was launched on London’s Coventry Street.
There are now 17 Taco Bell’s here in the UK, the nearest to Liverpool being a branch in Manchester’s Arndale which opened in 2011.
Taco Bell and New Mersey Shopping Park were unable to be reached for a statement whilst a spokesperson for Liverpool Shopping Park declined to comment.
