Three and four-bedroom family homes are expected to prominently feature in a proposed residential transformation of Liverpool Football Club’s (LFC) Melwood site.
Further details of what the future could hold for the team’s West Derby training ground have been revealed a detailed application for outline planning permission.
A document submitted to Liverpool City Council by LFC this week seeks outline consent to create a “high quality residential community of up to 160 dwellings”.
It adds: “A range of dwellings can be accommodated on site.
“It is expected that the development will comprise predominantly three and four-bedroom family homes.
“This is subject to market demands and developer proposals. The mix of dwellings proposed will be considered through future reserved matters applications.”
According to the plans, initial design considerations will also set out to “create a strong sense of character and place within the new development through architectural detailing and quality public realm and landscape proposals inspired by positive elements of local character”.
